    Fence Project 2025

Last December, Chippewa Humane Association was pleased to partner with the Northwestern Bank to raise funds for our new dog fencing. Northwestern Bank matched donations dollar for dollar up to $5,000 and in only two short weeks, we raised almost $21,000.

We’re incredibly grateful to Northwestern Bank and all of our supporters and donors who are making this dream become a reality!

Our new layout will allow for more dogs to be outside at the same time, each in their own designated space, promoting mental and physical health while reducing stress for both the animals and our staff.

Dog Run Windows - New Project

We are currently researching options for new windows in our dog runs. The goal is to install more secure, better-insulated windows that help keep our dogs safer, more comfortable, and protected from Wisconsin weather. These upgrades will help reduce drafts, increase temperature control, improve barrier safety, and make our kennel environment calmer overall.

More information, including cost, sizing, vendor details, and ways the community can help support this project, will be shared soon as we gather quotes and finalize our plan.

    On Going Maintenance

Our shelter building is used every single day — from early morning cleaning and feeding, to medical care, to meet-and-greets and adoptions. With that constant daily use, regular maintenance is essential. This fund supports ongoing repairs, replacements, and facility improvements that help keep our animals safe, comfortable, and healthy.

Examples of what this fund helps cover may include:

Roof / window / door repairs

    Insulation, heating & cooling maintenance

    Plumbing and waterline fixes

    Repainting and kennel-surface updates

Equipment replacement (washers, dryers, fans, etc.)

These upgrades and repairs protect the structure of our building, reduce weather-related stress for our animals, and help us continue to create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming shelter environment.

Your support helps us take care of the space that takes care of them.
