Lost a pet?

1) Tell Chippewa Humane (first!)

• Call: (715)861-5748 and leave a detailed voicemail

• Email: info@chippewahumane.org with a clear photo

  Include: pet’s name, species/breed, color/markings, sex, age, microchip # (if any), collar/tags, where & when last seen, and your best contact info.

After hours: leave a message—we check voicemails and email regularly.

2) Notify your local authorities

• Contact your municipality’s police/animal control to report your missing pet.

• If you live near city/town borders, notify neighboring municipalities too.

3) Post online (the wider the net, the better)

• Facebook: your profile + local groups, especially

  • Lost and Found Pets in Chippewa Falls (group)

• Craigslist: Lost & Found section (add city/area)

• Lost Dogs of Wisconsin: report lost dogs for a free, statewide alert and flyer.

4) Keep the momentum

• Tell nearby shelters, rescues, vets, and microchip company (to flag as lost).

• Re-post updates every 24–48 hours and respond quickly to messages.

• When your pet is found, update your posts so the community knows.
